Happy yoga
My love for yoga started 10 years ago. I was just divorced and wanted to find myself, so I took a few yoga classes, and I was hooked.
What a great way to relax. Unfortunately I didn't have the money to keep taking yoga classes every week, so I decided to buy a yoga mat for home.
I found a great PVC yoga mat on Happinez.nl, lilac with a silver mandala print, and I ordered it right away. I was so happy; I found myself again, and I enjoyed it a lot.

I discovered the cork yoga mat. What struck me immediately was the feeling under my hands and feet. Cork is warm and rough in itself and gives a natural grip.
And this remains the case, even when you start to sweat. Or actually, just when you start to sweat, because it may sound contradictory, but the more your body warms up, the more grip. Well, I wasn't used to that with my PVC mat. It felt smooth and sticky and made sure that I couldn't keep my focus that well. I was sold.
Consciously healthy
Yoga wasn't the only thing I found 10 years ago. I also started eating and living healthy, and my lilac PVC mat didn't fit in anymore.
My body can really feel the difference between the natural and the synthetic material.
I feel more connected to Mother Earth. Just pure nature.
I figured if I eat healthy and try to take care of myself, why would I choose a yoga mat that does the exact opposite?

Okay, it is quite an investment because a PVC mat is cheaper. But that is not for nothing. Instead of cheap, chemically produced material, a cork mat is made of natural cork and rubber.
